ZR Training is a community-focused sports coaching programme for children aged 3–14, based at Kick Off, Dewsbury.
Founded by Ziyaad Rawat, a Year 6 primary school teacher, ZR Training was created to give children a safe, fun and inclusive space to enjoy sport, grow in confidence and develop life skills alongside physical skills.
As a teacher, Ziyaad understands how children learn, how to support different needs and how important encouragement, structure and positive role models are.

Meet the Founder — Hi, I'm Ziyaad Rawat
I'm a qualified primary school teacher and sports coach based in Dewsbury. I love everything sport – from football and basketball to NFL – and I bring that passion into everything I do.
ZR Training started with just 8 participants, but has grown to over 100 children attending weekly sessions. Our inclusive sessions cater to ages 3–14, ensuring every child feels valued.
As a dedicated teacher, I understand how to connect with children, make learning fun, and create environments where everyone feels supported.
My number one priority? Having fun! Whether your child is sporty or just starting out, my goal is to help them build confidence, make friends, and love being active.

Common Questions
What should my child wear?
Comfortable sportswear and trainers. We recommend bringing a water bottle too!
Do I need to stay during sessions?
For younger children (3–5), we recommend staying nearby. Parents are encouraged to join in our Nursery sessions. Older children can be dropped off and picked up.
What if my child has never played sports before?
Perfect! We welcome complete beginners and focus on making sport fun and accessible for all abilities.
Can I try a session before committing?
Yes! SEND sessions offer a free first session, and we're always happy to discuss trial options for other sessions.

Nursery Sessions — Ages 3–4 (Parent & Child)

Meet Mr Rawat
I'm a qualified primary school teacher with extensive experience across Early Years, KS1 and KS2. Alongside my role in school, I founded ZR Training to provide children with a safe, inclusive and positive environment where sport is used as a tool to build confidence, teamwork and life skills.
ZR Training is not separate from my teaching career. It is a natural extension of it.

Welcome to ZR Training. These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our services and participation in our sports coaching sessions.
By booking a session with ZR Training, you accept these terms and conditions in full. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.
2. Services
ZR Training provides children's sports coaching sessions, holiday clubs, SEND sessions, and family fun day events in the Batley and Dewsbury areas of West Yorkshire.
All sessions are designed for children aged 3–14 years old unless otherwise specified.
3. Booking and Payment
- Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of payment or confirmation from ZR Training.
- Payment terms will be communicated at the time of booking.
- We reserve the right to refuse bookings at our discretion.
4. Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the session will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of the session may not be eligible for a refund.
- ZR Training reserves the right to cancel sessions due to adverse weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, in which case a full refund or alternative session will be offered.
5. Health and Safety
- Parents/guardians must inform ZR Training of any medical conditions, allergies, or special needs that may affect their child's participation.
- Participants must wear appropriate sportswear and footwear.
- ZR Training holds public liability insurance for all activities.
- All staff are DBS checked and trained in safeguarding.
6. Behaviour
All participants are expected to behave appropriately and follow instructions from coaching staff. ZR Training reserves the right to exclude any participant whose behaviour is deemed disruptive or dangerous.
7. Photography and Media
ZR Training may take photographs or videos during sessions for promotional purposes. If you do not wish your child to be photographed, please inform us in writing before the session.
8. Liability
While ZR Training takes all reasonable precautions to ensure safety, participation in sports activities carries inherent risks. ZR Training is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage unless caused by negligence on our part.
9. Changes to Terms
ZR Training reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website.
